The primary purpose of a scalp massage is to stimulate blood circulation and promote relaxation. This technique is often employed in various beauty and wellness treatments to increase blood flow to the scalp, which can lead to improved nutrient supply to hair follicles. The enhanced circulation can support healthy hair growth and help in achieving a more vibrant scalp condition.

Additionally, scalp massages are known for their calming effects on the mind and body, creating an overall sense of relaxation which can be beneficial during salon treatments. This does not involve altering hair color, tackling dandruff, or styling hair, which are functions related to other hairstyling or treatment techniques but do not encapsulate the core intention of a scalp massage.
